Dear Miranda: The Most Inspirational Song EVA!

In response to Dear Kyra: Things I learned from Choral Instructors

Dear Miranda:

I’ve decided that you not having Facebook is probably more inconvenient for me than it is for you. Because I found this amazing song last night and I wanted to share it with you. But I couldn’t post it to your wall. Then I remembered I was supposed to be blogging you anyway, so it all works out.

I’ve been listening to a lot of 50s doo-wop lately. I created a Pandora station so I could find some new (are they really new if they’re from the 50s?) bands. Speaking of which, you should check out Dion and the Belmonts. I’m a fan.

Anyway, so I was listening to my doo-wop channel and a Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers song came on. Which is great because I love Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers. It’s a wonderfully inspirational tune called “I’m Not a Juvenile Delinquent.”

Enjoy with lyrics below.

I’m not a juvenile delinquent
No-no-no-no-no-no-no-no
No-no-no-no-no-no-no-no
No-no-no, I’m not a juvenile delinquent
Do the things that’s right
And you’ll do nothing wrong
Life will be so nice, you’ll be in paradise
I know, because I’m not a juvenile delinquent

But listen boys and girls
You need not be blue
And life is what you make of it
It all depends on you
I know, because I’m not a juvenile delinquent

It’s easy to be good, it’s hard to be bad
Stay out of trouble, and you be glad
Take this tip from me, and you will see
How happy you will be
Oh-oh, boys and girls, this is my story
And I add all of my glory
I know, because I’m not a juvenile delinquent

It’s easy to be good, it’s hard to be bad
Stay out of trouble, and you be glad
Take this tip from me, and you will see
How happy you will be
Oh-oh, boys and girls, this is my story
And I add all of my glory
I know, because I’m not a juvenile delinquent

No-no-no, I’m not a juvenile
No-no-no, I’m not a juvenile

Also, I really wish I knew how that DTR at the end turned out. Because it looked totally intense. And we should watch some old movies with Fred and Ginger sometime when I get home.

So yeah. Don’t be a juvenile delinquent.

Love, Kyra
